Brian & Liz's son Matt takes over Lowe Design & Build, which he now owns and operates with his wife, Lisa.
Brian, his son Tim and Tim's wife Emma launch Lowe Living - a new chapter for the family name. Tim & Emma own and operate it today.
Brian and his son Travis found Humpy Co., a modular building company - bringing builder-backed expertise to backyard living.
Brian and his son travis now successfully operate Humpy Co. as a leader in the modular building industry, operating in Victoria. Daughter Michele, alongside partner Johan operate Dualiving, offering modular builds to Queensland and Northern New South Wales customers.
At Humpy Co. we are a small but mighty team, from all around the world. We pride ourselves on taking the time to understand our client's needs and work with them through the process of design to build. Traditionally, a humpy (also known as gunyah, mia-mia or wurley) was a small, temporary shelter built by Indigenous Australians using natural materials like bark, branches and leaves. Often supported by a tree, these shelters were practical, respectful of the land, and designed to provide protection without permanence.
At Humpy Co, we honour that legacy by reimagining the concept for modern living. Our modular backyard dwellings echo the original humpy’s low-impact nature and adaptability - but with long-lasting materials, smart design, and the comfort families expect today. Built in Australia using sustainable methods, our Humpies provide practical, beautiful spaces that sit lightly on the land and offer flexible solutions for modern life.
